I see a slight trail of smoke coming from the campfire burning on the side of the big log. I can almost hear the two guitars, mandolins and the little picollo as they strike up "Darling Nelly Gray." I know I can smell the black and tan coon-dog drapped in the man's lap, eager to get tracking for the night's hunt. The fish are cleaned and hung, the double barrel hammer guns are cleaned and stacked against a stump waiting for the next hunt. Looks like a weekend get away that would still be popular with the boys today.
I was kidding a bit about what the man is reading, Johnny Morris would be happy to see a BassPro Shop Catalog in his hand, in fact I might just send him one sometime soon. I'm not kidding however when I tell you to look for this picture and others from the Oliver Collection when you visit the "New Branson" BassPro Shop now under construction. They won't be hard to miss. They will be large wall decor prints there and in the Pearl, Mississippi stores. Thank you BassPro Shops, keep building!
